Bank of Japan voted July 14, 2006 to end its zero interest rate policy and target an uncollateralized overnight call rate of around 0.25%. The BoJ raised that target to 0.50% on Feb. 21, 2007. BoJ decided Dec. 19, 2008 to increase outright purchases of JGBs and took steps to boost corporate financing.

- Reserve Bank of Australia - http://www.rba.gov.au/AboutTheRBA/ - The Reserve Bank of Australia's (RBA) main responsibility is monetary policy. Policy decisions are made by the Reserve Bank Board, with the objective of achieving low and stable inflation over the medium term.
